How is it dye free?We have carefully selected micas that are free of lake and synthetic dyes and do not add any lake or synthetic dyes to our balms. Our mica is colored with natural oxides and dioxides and natural dyes ONLY. We only use ethically sourced mica from reputable companies.

Why are the tops of some balms not completely perfectly smooth?Free of phthalates means free of plasticizers and chemicals. Those are the potentially toxic ingredients that give other balms that manufactured, "perfect" finish. Since Bitty Balm is hand poured into containers, we drop a dot of oil into the top of each cap so that your balms release cleanly. Swipe that extra bit of argan oil on your skin and enjoy it!

Why can't I return my Bitty Balm?Due to it being a personal care product, we can't accept returns, but if for some reason your are super unhappy with your shade let us know and we will try to make it right!

Is it safe for kids?Our 13 ingredients are safe for all skin. There aren't any anti-aging ingredients or unnecessary ingredients added. You can see an entire list of ingredients on our "About" page.

How are the balms made?All Bitty Balm is hand formulated, poured and packaged in Highland Park, IL.

How do I know which color to buy?That all depends on 1. Your skin tone 2. The look you’re going for Our lighter shades that are softer like Blush, Bubbly, Bright and Bamboo will show up more on darker skin because of the contrast and be more subtle and sheer on more fair skin because they are closer in color. Bang Bang, Bronze, and Brandy are medium in intensity. Berry and Bordeaux are our most pigmented shades. All balms can be layered for more color or smoothed into skin for less, so you really can’t go wrong!
